Tips for Storing Peaches
It is best to store your peaches at room temperature if they need to ripen more. Do not refrigerate them!
Refrigerating them will cause them to ripen slower, and they will dry out in a few days.
Protect your peaches by laying them flat rather than stacking them because they bruise easily with weight on top of them.
To speed the ripening process, place the peaches in a paper bag overnight. If they still aren’t quite ready, leave them in the bag for another 24 hours or so.
Don’t forget to wash the peaches before eating them fresh or making peach jam or jelly, peach cobbler, homemade peach ice cream, peach butter, or anything else you want.
